written in the hotel room upon arrival
maine. we went fast, on new roads that i’ve never seen, breathing the air of places i’ve never been, singing all our songs at 70 mph
the car ride was manic, 8 hours of traveling. we didnt stop til conneticut, and i jumped out of the car, kissed the solid ground
we got to maine, and drove until we found the ocean at our side. we pulled over, watched the waves meet each other and kiss the
shore. there were so many stars that night, grinning and winking and shining. i felt small, at the hands of something so muchÂ
more powerful than me. while we watching, a star got tired and fell, shot across the sky. it was like everything in my life was
to bring there, at that moment, with the ocean and the stars an the salty night air with my best friend and my love.
